Leverage
I have recently begun Massage Therapy school, it's awesome - I couldn't have made a better choice. In myology we were introduced to one of the six simple machines, the lever - mechanical advantage being leverage. Most actions in the body are of class 3, no power but alot of speed and ROM (range of motion).
My mind immediately went to me sitting at my computer and as my mom walks buy say"mom can you make me a sandwich, I'll give you a massage". Sure she's going to quickly make me a sandwich but damn that better be one helluva sandwich for an hour massage. Well I got a 92 on that test, all the questions about levers and leverage I aced the stuff I ignored I got mixed up and made stupid mistakes. It always helps to visualize anything when trying to study. Visualize it, mnemonic device it, dig deeper and try to apply it to yourself and you'll succeed.
P.S I promise this blog isn't going to turn into the mega-mind ADD riddled child of xkcd and Hyperbole and a Half.
edit* to should be too

An aside to you the reader, about the bridges I've burnt and the people who have died on them.
I let a lot of people slip away.
I scoop a handful of sand, abduct my fingers and let the grains trickle - unfocused - into the grey.
These grains are among the collective
there for the taking,
free to be picked up by the wind,
but some of them stay.
The wind may have it's way.
The wind whips them upon my face.
Unable to forget the ones I let trickle away
I dive into the sand and let water and mud take me away.

An ode to the attack of panic
An inaudible whisper, your cadence, your posture, your breathing, a tunnel...
You ask yourself, what will happen when this tunnel is reached?
You're thinking about the tunnel.
You're thinking about going in to the the tunnel,
suddenly, you're thinking about thinking about going into the tunnel.
Your body will be trapped as long as it takes to get out of the tunnel.
Your thoughts will be trapped, for as long as it takes to get out of your mind
Systemic Overdrive
You can enter but once you do you may not exit, until you let yourself
Awareness to your surroundings is beautiful but thinking about them may lead you down a tunnel
